Entry Requirements

When is the submission deadline?

Entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM EST on November 30, 2026.

What do I need to submit?

Please refer to the Official Rules, Section 5 for complete submission requirements.

Can I submit more than one project?

Yes. Multiple entries are welcome, but we only allow one entry per category. Each project must be completed between January 1, 2021 and November 30, 2026.

Eligibility

Who can enter?

The awards are open exclusively to trade professionals, including:

  • Interior Designers
  • Kitchen and Bath Designers
  • Architects
  • Builders
  • Contractors/Remodelers

This includes design professionals employed by a showroom or reseller (non-sales roles).

All entrants must be 21 or older and U.S. residents. Homeowners and consumers are not eligible.

Is judging anonymous?

Yes. Judging is conducted anonymously. Please ensure:

  • Images, drawings, narratives, and file names do not contain identifying information
  • Names, firms, logos, addresses, and watermarks are removed
  • Personal information is entered only within the official submission form not visible to judges

Photography & Media

What are the image requirements?

Please refer to the Official Rules, Section 5 for complete submission requirements, including images.

What photography rights are required?

Please refer to the Official Rules, Sections 10 and 11, for complete photography rights requirements.

Are appliance photos required?

Close-up appliance photos are not required but are welcome to provide additional context and further showcase the design. This includes detailed shots showing appliance integration and photos of paneled refrigeration and dishwashers (if applicable) with doors open to help validate the Monogram models used in the project.

Written Submission

Is a design statement required?

Yes. The online entry form includes guided prompts covering:

  • Project vision and inspiration
  • Design challenges and solutions
  • What makes the project iconic

How can I create a stronger submission?

Successful entries typically include:

  • Clear, thoughtful design narratives
  • High-quality photography
  • Strong visibility of Monogram appliances
  • Minimal countertop clutter
  • No people in project photography

Categories

How are design styles defined?

Contemporary
Clean lines, modern materials, and minimalist design.

Traditional
Classic detailing, rich craftsmanship, and timeless elegance.

Transitional
A balanced blend of traditional warmth and contemporary simplicity.

Beyond the Kitchen
Projects extending luxury design into spaces such as sculleries, wine rooms or entertaining areas.

Judging

How will entries be evaluated?

  • Integration of Monogram appliances (30%) – Evaluates how seamlessly Monogram appliances are incorporated into the overall design, enhancing the aesthetic, functionality and homeowner experience while reflecting the brand’s commitment to luxury design, craftsmanship and the art of living with Monogram.
  • Overall aesthetics and design excellence (25%) – The overall quality of the design, including creativity, composition, material selection, craftsmanship, attention to detail and visual harmony.
  • Functionality and space planning (20%) – Measures how effectively the space supports cooking, entertaining and everyday living through thoughtful layouts, intuitive workflows and overall usability.
  • Innovation and originality (15%) – Recognizes distinctive ideas, creative problem-solving and innovative applications of materials, technology or design that set the project apart.
  • Design statement and supporting materials (10%) – Evaluates the strength of the written design statement and supporting imagery, considering how clearly they communicate the project’s vision, design intent and execution.

Awards

Is there an entry fee?

No. Entry is complimentary.

How long does submission take?

If all materials are prepared, most entries can be completed in approximately 30 minutes.

When will finalists be announced?

Finalists will be notified by email in the week of January 25, 2027 and recognized during KBIS 2027 (February 2–4). There will be 12 finalists (three per category).

When will winners be announced?

Winners will be notified in April 2027 during 2027 Spring High Point Market (April 10–14). There will be four winners (one per category).

What are the prizes?

All first-place winners will also receive national exposure, editorial print coverage and social content in a Hearst design publication, such as House Beautiful, ELLE Décor or VERANDA.
